The pay range for this position is $36.07 per hour.

Job Summary:

Location: Various, United States

This position's main responsibility is to provide fuel to the boiler and oversee all related equipment, fuel, and machinery. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and taking daily direction from the on-shift O&M Technician IV, the role involves operating heavy mobile equipment, maintaining fuel conveyors and hoppers, performing quality control checks, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with other team members.

Key Accountabilities:

Operate heavy mobile equipment such as Cat 980 front-end loaders to blend wood fuel and stack for storage
Operate fuel conveyors, receiving hoppers, and the fuel reclaimer
Service fuel yard equipment daily and inspect conveyor systems
Assist with preventative maintenance in the yard and support O&M Tech III and IV as needed
Conduct daily quality control checks, take pile temperatures, and ensure site safety protocols are followed
Communicate effectively with colleagues and respond to emergency situations promptly and safely
Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Other Qualifications:

Experience with mobile heavy equipment, loaders, trucks, welding, and maintenance is preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, perform basic math calculations, and use computers efficiently
Familiarity with plant safety, policies, and procedures, including chemical handling and operating in high-energy systems
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, and flexibility to work overtime and respond to call-ins

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long shifts and lift objects up to 75 pounds regularly
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and operate controls and tools
Visual acuity for close, color, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
Exposure to various weather conditions, loud noise, moving machinery, heights, vibrations, and airborne particles
Required to work in confined spaces and comply with safety gear guidelines
