Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years.


NJFC operates three production facilities:
Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.


We are looking for a
Temporary Warehouse Consumption Clerk I to be responsible for tracking and processing all inventory transactions while closing out daily production in an accurate and timely manner.

This role will be responsible for reconciling inventory transactions associated with item production runs and closures. Prepares documents, updates orders, and enters data into the company's ERP system. Will provide support for other warehouse functions.

This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically June - October, at our San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Closes production and verifies finished goods inventories and consumption.
  • Verifies accuracy of yield quantities.
  • Calculates and verifies accuracy of quantities of items produced, materials used and amount of scrap before running closing process for production.
  • Checks inventory quantities for all components used in production and prepares work orders.
  • Coordinates production run items needed for orders with shipping department.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Associate degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred; or, any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the position.
  • 1 years' related warehouse experience, including receiving experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years' experience operating a computer; particularly Excel; PeopleSoft MRP experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak); bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The wage is $20 - $22, based on experience and qualifications.
