    Dechert, LLP is a global law firm specializing in complex, intricate sectors with high regulatory demands. We maintain a broad application portfolio to deliver services to our clients and support our staff.

    This role primarily involves working with our document and records management applications, including iManage Work 10, iManage Records Manager, and Box, in capacities such as implementation, testing, and support. The role also requires familiarity with applications that integrate with our Document Management System, such as Litera Forte, Compare, Metadact, and other assigned applications.

    he individual in this role will enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and developing solutions within our application portfolio. Responsibilities encompass managing the lifecycle of these applications, including software upgrades.

    Ideal candidates should be passionate about technology and process improvement, with a proven track record of delivering solutions and excellent customer service.

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Specialize in supporting the DMS applications and the software integrated with the DMS.
  • Have a strong understanding of your team's supported enterprise solutions, including commercial software and custom applications.
  • Design solutions utilizing 3rd party DMS applications, specifically iManage and Box, to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop new workflows within systems based on requirements from users and functional specifications.
  • Devise ways to make existing systems meet new needs.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of a variety of applications and systems.
  • Test to ensure changes are operating as expected and giving the desired results.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and developers in delivering new systems and upgrades or enhance existing applications.
  • Anticipate, identify, and articulate problem areas and work with others to devise solutions.
  • Recommend new perspectives on existing solutions and solve complex problems.
  • Guide other team members.

    • QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs

    Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of application development or system analyst experience.
  • Experience migrating data and applications out of legacy data centers into the cloud.
  • Experience with incident management tools like ServiceNow.
  • Experience integrating commercial software with both custom solutions and other third-party products.
  • Practical experience providing tier three application support, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely, customer-focused manner.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft systems.
  • Work with a high degree of independence on projects, contributing to both design and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical internal clients.

    • Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Azure, Azure AD, Azure Virtual desktop.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or other languages.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP based services.
  • Knowledge of source code control tools such as Git.
  • Understanding of relational databases such as MSSQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Development Tools including SSIS & SSRS.
  • Knowledge of ITIL.
  • Experience with a software development methodology such as Agile.

  • This position operates in a professional office environment which is generally free of hazards and exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • This position requires regular attendance on-site at a Dechert location with some travel to different sites using various modes of private and commercial transportation. Some remote work also may be necessary. Incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
  • This position routinely operates standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopy machines, fax machines and filing cabinets, and requires frequent communication with the firm's employees and partners as well as third parties.
  • This position is active. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand, walk, read, sit and type for sustained periods of time; to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, twist, climb and balance; to move, lift, carry, push, and/or pull electronic equipment and other items of light to moderate weight; to operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
