The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract role with an oil & gas client of ours in Carrollton, TX.

The work will be completed in a hybrid capacity and the project has an expected duration of 12 months but could go longer.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Oil & Gas, you will play a pivotal role in the design and operation of surface equipment, adhering to industry standards such as API, NACE, DNV, and CE.

The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or Surface Well Testing (SWT) and possess the expertise to manage system integration with hardware and automation controls.

Responsibilities:

Oil & Gas Surface Equipment Design:

Utilize your extensive experience in designing surface equipment for the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards, including API, NACE, DNV, and CE.

Demonstrate proficiency in creating robust and efficient designs that align with project requirements.

Specialized Experience in MPD or SWT:

Bring preferred experience in equipment design and operation for Managed Pressure Drilling or Surface Well Testing, showcasing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements associated with these processes.

System Integration Management:

Oversee the seamless integration of systems, including hardware and automation controls, ensuring a cohesive and efficient operation of the designed equipment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve optimal performance and functionality.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Conduct thorough reviews and assessments to guarantee that designs and operations align with industry best practices.

Technical Documentation:
Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, operation manuals, and compliance reports.
Ensure documentation accuracy and clarity for both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience using SolidWorks is required (ProE, CREO may be considered).
In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as API, NACE, DNV, and CE.
Experience in Managed Pressure Drilling or Surface Well Testing is highly preferred.
Strong skills in system integration with hardware and automation controls.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
