As a Patient Observation Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of a team within a hospital setting
Key Responsibilities:
Orients, trains, and develops all levels of personnel such as; patient observation attendants, dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, and driversAssists in coordination of activities and services with other departmentsAbility to understand and apply knowledge of basic patient observation concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanicsMaintains a collaborative environment of highly motivated associatesUnderstands and able to resolve, explain, and develop dispatcher logic, patient observation and transporter activities; monitor and supervise dispatcher activityAssists unit director in achieving financial objectives; ensures department operates within budget; assists controlling departmental expensesEnsures proper operation of software programs, page and phone handling systems within the departmentEnsures compliance with all regulatory agencies including but not limited to Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDCManagement of patient observation add-on services such as, but not limited to; patient observation, lift, courier, valet or shuttle, where applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
