Job brief:

Vertosa is growing and in need of a Traveling Production Technician.

This role will be responsible for executing production at our Bay Area headquarters and independently at partner locations throughout the US and Canada.

Aside from production, this position will also support other operational elements, including equipment maintenance, and fulfillment activities.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a high-paced environment are key to success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Execute production per company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity at Vertosa headquarters and independently at partner locations throughout the US and Canada.
• Perform quality control tests on ingredients, product samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Support fulfillment and logistics in collaboration with other departments and external partners to ensure ontime delivery and issue resolution.
• Perform basic chemical research and assist in the analysis of retrieved data.
• Assist with and execute testing, calibration, and preventative maintenance of lab equipment.
• Support the development of best practices and formal SOPs for production and logistics, including those involving ingredients, packaging, and lab equipment.
• Aid the collection and analysis of production data to optimize operations.
• Travel up to 75% of a given quarter to execute production at partner locations in the US.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in laboratory science, cannabis production, or food manufacturing required.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a highpaced environment.
• Strong understanding of basic analytical chemistry terms and tools.
• Experience with lab equipment management, troubleshooting, and repair required.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 200 lbs. with the assistance of others.
• Availability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time with sufficient notice to the continental US and Canada.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to rent and operate a vehicle in the US.
• Valid US passport to support regulatory registration in US markets.
• Physical copy of U.S. Social Security card to support employee badging in US markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present scientific information clearly and concisely.
• Must be a passionate champion for cannabis, although Vertosa does not require cannabis consumption for any employees.
