    The Intersect Group is hiring for a Senior Accountant to support our client located in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is for Direct Hire for a growing company. For immediate consideration, apply today

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of fixed asset-related reports to management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable financial reporting standards, including ASC 842, and ensure compliance with all lease accounting requirements. This includes classifying leases, measuring assets and liabilities, and preparing disclosures.
    • Accountable for the allocation of CIP inventory to diverse stores and departments, as well as conducting month-end reconciliations to ensure alignment between physical counts and system records.
    • Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization expenses based on predetermined schedules and methodologies.
    • Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities, meeting deadlines, and facilitating essential accrual adjustments as needed.
    • Conduct in-depth analyses of fixed asset data to support financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
    • Perform regular reconciliations between the fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger, addressing discrepancies as needed.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience with a strong working knowledge of the general ledger, fixed assets sub ledger and CIP sub ledger
    • Month end close
    • ASC 842
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting
