- Must be familiar with community outreach practices; a strong knowledge of early childhood education is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or real-world experience and/or volunteering experience is required; preference for education, early childhood education, human services, social work, or related fields.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience, which could include working or volunteering with collaborative teams in a nonprofit, school, community organization, or similar setting; community outreach and coordination experience a must.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Has experience writing for different audiences; understands the importance of listening and acknowledging understanding, or lack of, regarding a task or situation.
- Proficiency in or the ability to learn various communication platforms such as Zoom, Slack, Teams, Google Documents, Microsoft Word and the Sparkler App.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of community organizing concepts and strategies; familiarity with the state and local systems that support children and families in Connecticut.
- Must exhibit attention to detail and have outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to drive to locations across Connecticut – must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance. Position will require regular site visits all around the state.
- Must be located in Connecticut and available to travel or work in-person in our Wethersfield office Monday through Friday; this is not a virtual position.
- Support the day-to-day operations, communications, community engagement, and data functions required for the Parent Outreach Program to be successful.
- The Parent Outreach Program Coordinator will elicit trust with the project teams within the Connecticut Children's Collective and the Office of Early Childhood, as well as with agency leaders and community partners; they will be dependable, honest, timely, and always maintain a respectful and professional decorum.
- Building and maintaining relationships with parents, community partners, and state agency staff
- Assist in ordering supplies for programs when needed
- Help schedule, prepare and participate in virtual and in-person trainings or meetings
- Create and maintain parent and staff contact lists for the program's six to eight communities
- Maintain understanding of current program implementation challenges and help to develop comprehensive solutions to address them; support sharing of local successes and best practices

Job DescriptionSalary: $57,500 - $85,000Description: The Parent Outreach Program Coordinator will be an integral part of a team that will work in collaboration with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and several other community-based organizations under the initiative of the CT Children's Collective. This is an outstanding opportunity to have a role in supporting Connecticut's early childhood landscape; the Parent Outreach Program Coordinator must be committed to building local systems that support children and families.
The Parent Outreach Program Coordinator will be supporting six to eight communities around the state as they implement a new model of parent-to-parent outreach. They will be responsible for supporting these communities and ensuring they have the training, supplies, contact information, and data collection tools they need, and helping to ensure the success of the program.
