Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team.
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and ensuring the safe and accurate collection of specimens.
Your role will be crucial in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and maintain accurate records
- Follow established protocols and maintain aseptic technique during specimen collection
- Monitor vital signs of patients during the phlebotomy process
- Provide excellent patient service, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and processing
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and infection control protocols
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., CPT or PBT) preferred
- Proficient in specimen collection processing techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and clinical laboratory operations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed
