They are looking for an energetic, dedicated, and resourceful **Pilot Facility Manager (or officially Plant Manager)** to join their team and be a part of building something truly special in the Bluegrass State.

    Since this position will initially involve commissioning a small manufacturing facility with a start-up company, they are targeting someone that would consider a Plant Manager position to be an advancement in their career. Sr. Process Engineers, Sr. Manufacturing Engineers, Manufacturing Operations Managers, and similar are encouraged to apply.

    As Plant Manager, you will be central to every part of their new manufacturing operation in Lexington, KY, from commissioning, to scale up, to continuous improvement and expansion. As they expand production to additional facilities, there will be opportunities to grow your career personally and professionally.

    **Responsibilities include:**

    Direct and manage all conventional plant management duties: plant floor operations, production planning, purchasing, product quality standards, food safety, staffing, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and maintenance.

    **Plant Operations:** Coordinate daily plant activities through planning, purchasing, production, warehousing, and shipping. Work closely with supervisors and team leaders to ensure optimal throughput and minimal cost.

    **Strategic Planning:** Work closely with the leadership team to create and implement the companys strategic improvement initiatives and culture. Coordinate with the commercial team and agricultural operations to ensure seamless production and supply in a high-growth context.

    **Performance Analysis:** Measure and update plant performance numbers and work with the leadership team to improve them. Ensure non-conformities and failures are identified, addressed, and corrected. Draft, maintain, revise SOPs; track operational KPIs and instill culture and processes for continuous improvement.

    **Maintenance:** Ensure equipment, machinery, and facilities are functioning at optimal levels. Maintain existing or suggest improvements to plant facilities and equipment.

    **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all FSIS, HACCP, and food safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and all government regulations.

    **Coordinate across teams:** Integrate across business functions to ensure timely execution across company priorities, for instance, commercial and customer deliveries, R&D and new product scale-up, compliance, and regulatory teams.

    **Scale-up, commissioning design:** Support and ultimately manage the commissioning, scale-up, and expansion of production facilities. Coordinate with EPC firms to support design, planning, and ultimately construction of future processing facilities.

    **Skills and Work Experience**

    Minimum 5 years managing in a HACCP regulated facility. Experience with botanical extraction products is a plus.

    Bachelors degree

    Engineering background preferred: mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, etc. or food science

    Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP & USDA regulatory requirements.

    Strong, solution-driven background in manufacturing and operations.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    Accustomed to adhering to deadlines and performing under pressure.

    Aptitude for independent problem-solving.

    Ability to assign, direct and delegate responsibilities.

    Diplomatic hands-on style of management.

    Strong work ethic and pride in their work.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
