    Description

    Company Overview: Join one of the top General Contractor (GC) firms in Las Vegas with a diverse portfolio of projects and a reputation for excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction to lead our construction operations and ensure the successful execution of multiple projects (private & public commercial) in our pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives, including project delivery goals, cost management, and quality standards.
    • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, superintendents, and other construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other challenges.
    • Implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure that construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, permits, and safety standards, maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all project personnel.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation in construction processes and practices.
    • Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and other documentation for senior management, clients, and stakeholders, providing timely updates on project performance and milestones.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence in project execution.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
    • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and make strategic decisions to optimize project performance.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement proactive solutions.
    • Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or CMIT are desirable but not required.
    • Experience working in the Las Vegas construction market or similar metropolitan areas is preferred.
