Our Administrative Specialists play an integral part in our operations.Support responsibilities may include:
- Surgical scheduling/coordination
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Referral management, specialty testing prior authorization, and scheduling of special testing
- Organizing and maintaining patient records, logs and other controlling systems; retrieving files as needed. Developing and maintaining systems to assure accurate, confidential, retrievable information
- Reconciling expense reimbursements for team/provider through PeopleSoft
- Other special projects and administrative tasks that are assigned
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Associate's degree preferred
- A minimum of two years of medical office experience required

Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (2014 Washington Street, 2nd floor, in Newton, MA)
Schedule
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Administrative Specialist to support Multispecialty Surgery (thoracic, colorectal, plastic/reconstructive, wound care/ostomy, vascular, endocrine, general surgery, center for weight loss surgery, acute care services) onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (shifts are staggered).
There is potential to move to a hybrid format with 1 remote day per week after the successful completion of our orientation/training program.
