Full-Time

Pay Rate:
$16-$18 per hour, dependent upon experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the routine upkeep of all areas of a facility both inside and outside the building.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to troubleshooting HVAC systems, lighting, indoor climate control, emergency cleaning, and upkeep requests.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed
Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot
Complete nonroutine cleaning according to specified job orders
Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pickup
Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
Troubleshoot issues with HVAC system, lighting and indoor climate control as necessary
Ensure building safety rules are implemented and maintained.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience with mechanical equipment preferred
Experience with painting is a plus
Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
Strong customer service skills and compassion
