- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field is highly preferred
- 2+ years of quality control experience
- Experience in the food manufacturing or nutraceutical industry required
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Allergens preferred
- Calibrate equipment, and conduct lab tests for finished products (sauces).
- Analyze physical values against specification sheets and adjust when needed.
- Monitor production lines.
- Inspect, and assist the warehouse team in receiving, and printing labels for raw materials.
- Conduct shelf-life checks on retained finished products.
- Investigate, create a Hold/Release Report, and tag for the Hold/Release products.
- Create CoA, and contact suppliers for missing and new documents.
- Maintain, modify, and create new specification sheets for finished products.
- Conduct internal audit, security check, prepare reports, and follow with corrective actions.
- Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate products that do not meet standards.
- Perform tests when needed (ATP, allergen, etc.).
- Conduct microbiological tests and release products.
- Communicate with other departments when needed.
- Maintain the highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in food science or related science field. With a minimum of 1 year in production/manufacturing or lab tests experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge about GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Allergen.
- Ability to read, write, and keep records.
- Good computer skills including literacy with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
- Preferred food/beverage/sauce industry experience.
