Duties:


  • Identify training needs, find ways to improve production and promote team building, recommend awards, and develop contributions objectives.
  • Review programming documents received from higher headquarters to determine effect on assigned programs.
  • Manage all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multimilliondollar annual budget.
  • Oversee planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
  • Serve as advisor to officials with broader and higher responsibilities on status of project, progress made, projected future plans, and problems.
  • Maintain continuous liaison and monitor collaborative planning with pertinent military users, army staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities.
  • Support an understanding of the Command's Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program; ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A oneyear probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3year tenure agreement. Must sign DD form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.
