Performs research to develop, design, and test biomedical equipment. Develops and establishes protocols where necessary.Job Responsibility
- Designs or modifies equipment for clients with special needs; manages the use of clinical equipment in specific areas.
- Supports the manufacturing and marketing of biomedical equipment in line with regulatory standards and quality control specifications, and serves on crossfunctional project management teams.
- Works actively with customers, as well as faculty to vet imaging protocols; determines whether requirements can be met by imaging protocols.
- Establishes protocols when required and ensures that current imaging protocol adheres to requirements. Investigates safetyrelated incidents; assesses the potential wider market for products. Utilizes knowledge of computer networks and troubleshoots computer network issues in transmission and receipt of radiology images, and performs manipulations.
- Authors new work flow protocols as needed; participates in site and imaging platform qualification.
- Maintains work areas, equipment and supplies; assures cleanliness and safety of work room and surrounding areas. Reviews supply levels, notifies the leadership of the need to order specific items.
- Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, radiology or similar degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 13 years of relevant experience, required.
- Experience working with 3D printers and machines
