Description

The security officer would be to maintain the safety of the facility, helping visitors sign in, viewing security cameras, transferring phone calls and maintaining the facilities security measures.

• NYS Security Guard License current and in good standing
• Must be organized with alertness in making decisions in an emergency.
• Tact and diplomacy required for contact with people.
• Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff and the public.
• Has the capacity to handle multifunction assignments.
• Must be able to deal with high pressure situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Write factual reports documenting security/safety incidents.
• Telephone operation
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
• Security Camera Operation
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

• Patrols designated building of the home, offsite premises and parking lots to maintain order and safeguard life and property of residents, visitors, and employees.
• Monitors all doorways as assigned to prevent resident elopement.
• Will perform daily physical inspections of areas of egress and fire safety doors.
• Prepares written Incident Reports of unusual or emergency situations.
• Keeps logs and documents security events including but not limited to visitors and residents entering and exiting the facility.
• Gives routine information to patients, visitors, and employees and directs them to the proper individuals or office.
• Responsible for the enforcement of safety rules and regulations within the facility.
• Greets and interacts with others with consideration, courtesy, and respect.

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Weekends only

• High school or equivalent (preferred)

• Security: 1 year (preferred)

• Guard Card (required)
