    Harrison Gray Search has teamed up with a top provider of specialty insurance products distributed solely through wholesale brokers looking for a Chief Claim Specialist (Property). The company has a long-standing history of over 35 years and holds impressive ratings like AM Best A++ and S&P Global AA+.     The Chief Claim Specialist will become a part of the Property team within the Atlanta Claims division. This role involves offering specialized technical expertise in handling claims related to E&S commercial property. The team emphasizes collaboration and a specialized industry focus, emphasizing the importance of building strong and respectful relationships through personal interactions.

    The company is open to considering candidates for higher officer-level positions based on their skill set and qualifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manages a specific segment of serious and complex claims reported to the claims unit.
    • Collaborates with the Unit Leader to strategize investigations, negotiate settlements, or make denial decisions following company protocols.
    • Provides detailed reports on files to the Unit Leader and/or Senior Management, suggesting reserves, action plans, and current assessments as needed.
    • Effectively interacts with various professionals, underwriters, attorneys, corporate clients, brokers, and other industry representatives, demonstrating integrity and trust.
    • Specializes in policy interpretation, coverage issues, legal matters, investigation guidance, file management, negotiation, and settlement tactics within their area of expertise.
    • Participates in business-related activities like meetings, mediations, trials, and company events.
    • Manages a caseload involving complex coverage matters.

    Qualifications:

    • College degree or equivalent property claims background.
    • Minimum of 10 years in property claims, including 5+ years in E&S commercial property claims.
    • Adjuster's license is a mandatory requirement.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (phone, email, interpersonal).
    • Customer-centric approach.
    • Advanced technical expertise in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, claims adjustment, documentation, litigation management, negotiation, and settlement strategies.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
