    Job Title: Senior Claim Specialist (Property)

    Harrison Gray Search has teamed up with a top provider of specialty insurance products distributed exclusively through wholesale brokers in search of a Senior Claim Specialist (Property). With over 35 years of experience in the industry, our client holds an impressive AM Best A++ and S&P Global AA+ rating. They are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for employees and their families.


    The Senior Claim Specialist plays a vital role in handling specialized property claims autonomously for our client's E&S Commercial Property line of business. The team operates collaboratively with a strong focus on industry specialization.

    Responsibilities:
    • Proactively manage Property Claims linked to Property and Binding Authority Underwriting policies
    • Keep reinsurers informed of developments to help assess their exposures when necessary
    • Submit comprehensive reports on files to Unit Leader and/or Senior Management, providing recommendations on reserving, action plans, and current assessments as needed
    • Evaluate claim exposures within designated dollar authority independently
    • Participate in various business activities such as team meetings, mediations, trials, and company events
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Qualifications:
    • College degree or equivalent experience in property claims
    • Minimum of 8 years in property claims, with significant exposure to commercial property claims
    • Technical expertise in claims processing, claims handling protocols, and practical understanding of coverage and policy terms
    • Active adjusters license
    • Strong technical and analytical proficiencies
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, including phone, email, and interpersonal skills
    • Comprehensive knowledge of specialized claim handling, policy interpretation, damage assessment, and investigation principles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
