ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES The purpose of this position is to provide remote and on-site information technology support to County staff.
Tier 2 support will be provided in addition to some Tier 1 support efforts; serves as a member of the Information Technology Security Team and the On-call Rotation team; performs other duties as assigned.
Work is conducted under the supervision of the Information Technology Security Manager. Some travel within the County may be required to perform duties. This position is not eligible for a regular flex schedule as outlined in the Moore County Personnel Policy.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Comprehensive knowledge of the technical terminology used in computer operations and of the various hardware, software, and accessory peripherals utilized in a networked system Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications and various operating systems and applications Understanding of mobile devices and mobile device management solutions Understanding of departmental service level agreements Ability to communicate effectively through speech and writing Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships departmental personnel, associates across the entire organization, vendors, and the general public Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects and to prepare and maintain detailed procedures, documentation, and instructions Ability to work some during weekends or off-hours for support, emergency incidents, and special projects
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of progressive work experience OR Associate Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and three (3) years of progressive work experience OR Bachelors Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and one (1) year of progressive work experience
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina drivers license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is medium work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, walking, grasping, fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, peripheral vision, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, and atmospheric conditions.
