- Review our current Food Safety Program and then develop and implement any food safety policies and procedures in accordance with local health regulations and industry best practices.
- Regularly review and update food safety protocols to reflect changes in regulations or company operations.
- Conduct training sessions for staff members on proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene practices.
- Provide ongoing education and guidance to ensure all employees understand and adhere to food safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage areas, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Visit client sites during service to observe food handling practices and provide real-time guidance to staff members.
- Implement corrective action after quarterly external audits.
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential food safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses or contamination.
- Monitor food quality and integrity throughout the all stages of the catering process, from receiving ingredients to final presentation.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all food products meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of food safety inspections, corrective actions, audits, and training activities.
- Prepare reports for management to demonstrate compliance with food safety regulations.
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for handling food safety incidents or outbreaks.
- Coordinate with management and regulatory agencies to address any food safety emergencies effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe Manager, HACCP) is required.
- Proven experience in food safety management, preferably in the catering or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate staff effectively.
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and assessments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description: Food Safety Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Manager to join our Corporate Catering Company. The Food Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food safety within our operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. This position will work closely with our kitchen team on a daily basis, monitoring SOP's, best practices and logging compliance. A key aspect of the role involves visiting client sites to monitor food handling practices during service, providing guidance, and implementing corrective measures as necessary to maintain the highest level of food safety.
