    Tableau Data Engineer
    12+ months contract
    Plano, TX (Hybrid Tuesdays to Thursdays)


    Responsibilities:
    Technology Architecture and Integrations
    Design end-to-end business analytics solution architectures incorporating cloud, AI, automation, blockchain, data management, integration technologies, and multi-vendor capabilities.
    Act as a trusted advisor to innovate solutions driving business value.
    Ensure alignment of data source vendors with analytics architecture design, prioritizing acquisition and integration of raw data feeds.
    Collaborate with IT's Marketing Technology and Analytics Platforms team to optimize enterprise IT practices and policies.
    Manage data acquisition (API, FTP, SFTP, S3, etc.) ensuring adherence to security best practices.
    Oversee data transformation processes utilizing tools such as Alteryx, Talend, Databricks, SSIS, Informatica, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
    Lead developers in designing and developing analytics solutions.
    Develop standardized and scalable data ingestion and transformation processes.
    Review and refine data flow design and data models to meet business requirements.
    Partner with IT to align strategy and ensure timely delivery of analytics platform and infrastructure.
    Monitor analytics platform and infrastructure performance, escalating issues as necessary.
    Collaborate with front-end data analysts/developers to understand data requirements and usage.
    Support ad-hoc analytics needs by developing prototype solutions and assisting in data interpretation.
    Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to technical and business audiences.
    Mentor analytics teammates in technical solution design.
    Identify and implement opportunities to enhance analytics platform and infrastructure.
    Contribute to data visualization efforts using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
    Collaborate with data scientists on statistical and AI/ML techniques.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Data Science; or equivalent professional experience.
    Extensive experience as a technical lead in high-performing analytics teams.
    Deep expertise in providing analytics support to business departments.
    Proficiency in data engineering or data analytics using various tools and programming languages.
    Expertise in data architecture and best practices.
    Experience developing user-facing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
    Experience with AI/ML/statistical modeling projects.
    Experience building analytics platforms on Cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS (a plus).
