Head of Production Design Studio (m/f/d)

Salary Classification:
NV Stage / SR Solo

Contract Start Date:
August 1, 2023

Areas of Work:
The Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz is looking for a Head of Production Design Studio to start in the 2023/2024 season.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordination between set designers, technical departments, and theater workshops
Rehearsal supervision
Creation of drawings and plans
Material ordering (taking sustainability aspects into consideration), sampling, and cost calculation
Staff planning and responsibility for production design assistants

Requirements:

Successfully completed degree in set design or a comparable qualification
Relevant professional/theater experience
Communicative and open work attitude, teamwork skills, and assertiveness
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in AutoCad, Photoshop, or similar image editing programs, as well as MS Office applications
Interest in sustainable production in theater
Willingness to work flexible hours typical for the theater industry
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
