- Full-time, employed opportunity based out of Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen
- Shift based and does not include call; work 7 days on 7 days off back to back; holidays rotated
- Nocturnist hours 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Currently, 1 full-time nocturnist and a NP on shift between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- New model will consist of 2 Physicians-Nocturnists and 2 FNP's to manage the census in house, transfer center admissions
- Average patients per shift
- Team covers all admissions at night per night)
- Team responds to all calls from the floors at night
- Typically, 1 resident available at night to help with up to 4 admissions
- Open ICU; however the Intensivist team does most of the procedures and responds to hospital codes
- Opportunity to teach internal medicine residents if desired

- BE/BC with the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Texas licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Texas

- 586 licensed beds (360 operational)
