EHS Coordinator - Lakeland, United States - Vaco

We are seeking an experienced Environment Health Safety, (EHS)Coordinator to join our manufacturing facility in Lakeland, Florida. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing all environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement safety programs such as OSHA compliance, incident investigations, process safety management, safety inspections/audits, and lead facility safety teams
• Oversee environmental compliance efforts including air emissions, water discharge, waste management, permitting, sampling/testing and reporting
• Develop training materials and conduct safety training classes for employees and contractors
• Maintain detailed records and submit required reports to meet regulatory and corporate requirements
• Serve as main liaison with regulatory agencies during audits and inspections
• Promote safety awareness through celebrations and other initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HS&E experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA and other environmental/safety regulations
• Excellent communication, training and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with basic computer applications like MS Office
• Ability to wear proper PPE such as hardhat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, etc.
