Role
The Retail Sales Support Specialist is a customer-focused professional responsible for the overall organization and maintenance of our award-winning showroom.
This role assists the sales team with administrative tasks including facilitating retail orders and deliveries, data management, project flow-through, and providing essential support for effective sales operations.
The primary focus is to support the sales team and enhance customer relationships. This is an hourly position.Responsibilities
- Greet showroom traffic and facilitate engagement with our Kitchen Design Sales Reps
- Enter retail orders
- Coordinate retail deliveries and install calendar
- Document showroom traffic
- Take payments
- Develop and ensure adherence to all Showroom procedures daily including opening and closing
- Process sample maintenance and orders
- Event support
- Display maintenance
- Maintain showroom supplies
- Showroom safety and maintenance (including cleaning and exterminator vendors).
- Management of showroom punch list to repair/replace items as needed
- Label, organize and replenish samples for the design center. Replace damaged or outdated items as needed (via Sage orders)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and external customers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office
- Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fastpaced retail environment
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Previous experience in a showroom or retail environment helpful
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- This position is in a retail/office environment
- May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking up stairs
- May require use of computer, fax machine, copy machine, and other office equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs
- Must be able to reach below, at, and above waist level
- Must be able to communicate effectively
