WSP is currently initiating a search for a Safety Technical Specialist for our Chicago, IL office or any mutually agreed upon office that is near an airport.

Your Impact

Support management of Safety Team projects
Support safety and security team staff on projects, as needed.
Support development and coordinate project proposals responses for potential clients
Provide client interface, coordination and project updates
Support Safety and Security Risk assessments for projects or programs including safety certification
Support WSP projects that require safety and security expertise

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

710 years of experience in transportation related projects, public rail and transportation security and /or emergency management projects preferred
Bachelors in transportation safety, engineering, planning or other related field, or equivalent experience
Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) Certification Preferred
Experience with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements or guidance preferred Demonstrated writing and editing skills

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in related field
Exposure to safety and security risk assessment and analysis
Excellent communications skills, written and oral
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel

Compensation

Expected Salary:
$83, $148,000.00

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $83, $148,000.00
