WSP is currently initiating a search for a Safety Technical Specialist for our Chicago, IL office or any mutually agreed upon office that is near an airport.
- Support management of Safety Team projects
- Support safety and security team staff on projects, as needed.
- Support development and coordinate project proposals responses for potential clients
- Provide client interface, coordination and project updates
- Support Safety and Security Risk assessments for projects or programs including safety certification
- Support WSP projects that require safety and security expertise
Required Qualifications
- 710 years of experience in transportation related projects, public rail and transportation security and /or emergency management projects preferred
- Bachelors in transportation safety, engineering, planning or other related field, or equivalent experience
- Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) Certification Preferred
- Experience with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements or guidance preferred Demonstrated writing and editing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in related field
- Exposure to safety and security risk assessment and analysis
- Excellent communications skills, written and oral
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel

Compensation
Expected Salary:
$83, $148,000.00
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $83, $148,000.00
