_HRCSB is looking to fill a full-time, salaried position that will provide services to infant/toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities in the ITC (Infant and Toddler Connection) program.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a team of professionals in the child's natural environment.This position requires diagnostic and evaluative skills, knowledge of child development and intellectual disability, the ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds, and ability to provide services within complex regulations associated with Part C services.
A Bachelor's degree and licensure in child development, early childhood special education, early childhood education, or related field required. _Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses children in a variety of developmental domains (as determined by the Local System Manager), using the tools and test procedures approved by the Local System Manager.
- Participates in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetings for individual children.
- Provides developmental services to assigned Infant & Toddler clients.
- Consults with a wide array of other professionals to provide and receive information regarding medical, developmental, and/or human services issues.
- Participates in staff development activities required by the Local System Manager.
- Participates in staff meetings and team development.
- Adheres to regulations and standards established by or for compliance with human rights regulations, agency licensure requirements, confidentiality statutes, third party payer rules, professional code of ethics, etc.
- Exhibits excellent customer service, including promptly returning phone calls, expected usage.
- Completes clinical and/or administrative documentation as specified by or within CSB standards, payer requirements, Medicaid regulations, professional standards, etc.;
- Maintains effective relationships with coworkers and customers based on courtesy, compassion, and respect.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned, consistent with established policy and procedure, which may include Service Coordination as certified by the Early Intervention state program.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent diagnostic and evaluative skills in all areas of development in infants and toddlers. Thorough knowledge of the principles of child development and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to teach and to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work and relate effectively to persons from a wide variety of educational and socioeconomic backgrounds who may vary markedly in their level of sophistication regarding infant and toddler development.
Exhibits consistently good judgment and a high level of independence and initiative. Ability to work effectively as a team member and with a variety of community agencies. Basic computer literacy and word processing skills preferred.Additional requirement:
- Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in child development, special education, early childhood education or related discipline; Early Childhood Education or Special Education licensure; _
OR_ any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet highest standards for employment as required by the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia.

Individual's homes, facilities, and office with lighting levels, temperature ranges, air quality, ventilation and noise levels as provided in each setting.

Standard hazards associated with general day-to-day community activities.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, regular office hours; some evening and weekend hours required as scheduled. Additional hours as needed to perform job requirements. Regular attendance is required.
HIPAA Access Level 2:
Full read/write access to protected health information (PHI), limited to the minimum necessary, for all clients directly served or assigned, as well as all clients indirectly served through case consultation, clinical supervision, program management, or coverage requirements.
