From your PASSION to ours

Responsible for ensuring contract manufacturers (co-man) comply with Lactalis US Yogurt (LUSY) food safety and quality requirements with respect to product, process, specifications, GMP and established manufacturing protocols by performing the following duties directly or through the management of others.

Responsible for reviewing, assessing, and approving Coman facilities against Food Safety and Quality standards at onboarding and on a continuous basis.

This position works closely with the Purchasing, Research and Development and Project managing team to onboard new co-mans and production of Lactalis US Yogurt products.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:_

Coman Management

Clearly communicate Lactalis expectations to coman regarding food safety and quality policies, quality systems and finished product specifications.
Conduct initial facility assessment as part of procurement coman approval process, as necessary.
Plan and conduct coman audits according to Lactalis required frequency. Utilizes the principles of GFSI, HACCP & ISO 9001/22000 and Lactalis Group guidelines in audits to assess food safety/quality risks & recommends mitigation strategies.
Produces audit reports and distributes internally and externally in a timely manner, after each visit.
Manage the contract manufacturer (coman) quality program by collaborating with cross functional teams in the approval and continued management of coman sites.
Plan and conduct regular performance reviews to review quality KPIs, address compliance concerns, discuss new projects and ensure comans are effectively adhering to established standards, specifications, and processes.
Coordinate investigation of consumer complaints, spec deviations and offer solutions to problems at comans in all realms of activity: microbiological, manufacturing, logístical, planning.
Monitors and follows up with manufacturing plants to ensure the full implementation of corrective actions.
Ensures coman documentation is always available and up to date.
Collaborate with Corporate Quality Engineer (Sensory Coordinator) to establish regular sensory and analytical evaluation of finished products.
Travel up to 20% and be flexible to travel with short noticed, as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Industrial Quality

Ensure all comanufactured products are produced according to dairy industry best practices and Lactalis Group standards, to guarantee the highest food safety and quality standards are met with regards to product manufacturing and warehousing.
Ensure the proper analytical methods are used to ensure the finished product consistently meets specifications.
Collaborate with LUSY cross functional teams to establish finished product specifications, finished product monitoring plan, and ongoing assessment of production data to ensure the production of consistent quality products.
Assist comans in complex matters that require technical expertise with the help of LUSY and Lactalis Group experts.

Organizational & Cross-Functional Support

Collaborate with cross functional team and Corporate Quality managers in the development and launch of new products and execute assigned tasks.
Provide support and information to any department of Lactalis US Yogurt: Logistics, QC and R&D, Finance, Marketing.
Support and develop other personnel in the operation of daily QC functions, product launches, retrofits, and any other activity concerning coman or domestic Quality Control.
Provide support to internal projects and continuous improvement of the food safety and quality management programs within our division and Lactalis USA.
Maintain a close partnership with the cross functional teams at LUSY, LHD and LAG.
Maintain a connection with Lactalis Group Quality Department to maintain and gain technical knowledge.
Work with other departments to achieve overall company objectives.
Alert senior management on major issues.
