Due to the health disparities that exist, it is important to provide greater equity and access to vaccination education, outreach, and community engagement.
The overall aim of the Kentucky Department for Public Health grant project "Promoting Immunizations in the Underserved Populations of NKY Through NACU" is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the project using CDC's "partnering for Vaccine Equity" program.
The immunization team will consist of two registered nurses (part-time), one community health worker/vaccine ambassador (full time) plus 50% of an existing NACU RN's time to implement the plan.
