Responsibilities:


  • Providing direct care and support to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation and transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident.
  • Collaborative with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology with one year experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.; We will consider applicants with High School diplomas that can show at least three (3) years' experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances

In addition, the ideal Youth Support Worker:

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by these individuals.
  • Will be able to assist with daily living activities and implement behavior management strategies.
  • Can remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrate patience and understanding.
