Greater Portland Metro is seeking enthusiastic individuals with exceptional customer service skills to operate city buses and assist the general public.

• Starting pay is $26.02 per hour
• Metro covers 95% of benefits for single-person coverage and 85% for family plans
• 7.5% retirement fund contribution match

The purpose of this role is to safely and efficiently drive District Buses, ensuring passengers' safe and timely transportation.

• Performs pre and postbus inspections, reporting any equipment malfunctions
• Drives bus safely, adhering to schedules
• Assists passengers, collects fares, and maintains order
• Reports incidents promptly and enforces regulations
• Complies with traffic regulations and agency policies
• Maintains professionalism and excellent customer service
• Ensures compliance with ADA regulations and assists passengers with disabilities
• Participates in safety training programs

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Must have CDL permit with airbrake & passenger endorsements
• Basic knowledge of bus mechanics and safety

• Ability to sit for 8 hours per day
• Occasional physical activities like standing, walking, lifting
• Coordination and dexterity for vehicle operation
