Position Title:
Patient Care Coordinator


Job Summary:

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of healthcare services to patients.

You will serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to coordinate appointments, facilitate communication, and address patient needs.

Your role will involve managing patient schedules, assisting with insurance coordination, and providing support to ensure a positive patient experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and referrals according to established protocols and scheduling guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries, scheduling changes, and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for medical services as necessary.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure coordination of care and timely follow-up.
  • Educate referral sources about the patient's treatment plans and available support services.
  • Collaborate with billing and financial services staff to assist with billing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical treatments, and insurance details.
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:


  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with bilingual patients.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, patient coordination, or customer service roles, with a demonstrated understanding of personal injury cases and related processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing workflows and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $18 and 19 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Available shifts and compensation:
Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $ $19.00/hour.
