The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake county, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles.

The Archdiocese, pastored by Cardinal Blase J.

Cupich, has more than 13,000 employees in its systems and ministries, including Catholic Charities, the region's largest nonprofit social service agency.

The Archdiocese also has one of the country's largest seminaries. The Archdiocese's 150+ elementary and secondary schools comprise one of the largest U.S. private school systems. Its schools have received 96 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Awards.

Our Lady of Tepeyac High School is an all-girls, college preparatory, Catholic high school operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago and located in the Little Village community.

Tepeyac is a Big Shoulders Fund Plus School. Tepeyac offers young women an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our students hail from 24 different zip codes across the Chicagoland area. 80% of our students are Latina and 20% of our students are African American. 96% of our students' families fall below the poverty line and 63% of our students speak Spanish at home.

Our Lady of Tepeyac High School is an integral part of the Little Village community.

Throughout its history, Our Lady of Tepeyac has served as a point of entry for many families immigrating to the United States.

Originally St. Casimir, our Parish and Grade School, opened their doors in 1893 followed by the High School in 1927. The name changed in 1990 to Our Lady of Tepeyac to more accurately reflect the heritage of the parishioners. In 2021, St.

Roman's Parish and Assumption BVM have combined with Our Lady of Tepeyac Parish and are blessed with the new name, Mother of the Americas.

The school remains under their original name.

Tepeyac stands with and for its young women, who we know will make a difference in our neighborhood, in their families, in the Church and the world.
