Business Analyst (Cyber Security and Data Loss Prevention)

Job Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with specialized experience in the cyber security domain, particularly in data loss prevention (DLP).
- Experience in project management is desirable, coupled with exceptional soft skills such as communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, with a focus on data loss prevention strategies and solutions.
- Utilize indepth knowledge of DLP technologies, methodologies, and best practices to identify, mitigate, and prevent data loss incidents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements related to cyber security and DLP initiatives.
- Develop clear and comprehensive workflow diagrams, process maps, and data flow diagrams to visualize the interaction between systems, processes, and data in the context of DLP.
- Evaluate and assess cyber security vendors and solutions, considering factors such as functionality, scalability, performance, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Assist in project planning, tracking, and execution, ensuring that cyber security and DLP Identify, assess, and prioritize cyber security risks and vulnerabilities, recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber security threats, trends, and technologies, and propose enhancements to existing DLP strategies and processes.
Qualification & Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on cyber security and data loss prevention.
- Proficiency in data at rest content and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Experience in documenting business requirements, workflows, and process maps.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools; project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and findings to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, or similar.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
- Knowledge of data encryption techniques, data classification methodologies, and access control mechanisms.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
- Experience with data analytics tools and techniques for security analysis.

$ $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
