Supply Specialist

Searching for a motivated Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team.

In this role, you will help with the supply chain process, including the procurement of raw materials for production and the transport of finished goods to our customers.

This position relies on trend forecasting to predict our inventory needs based on the potential needs of our customer base.

You will communicate with procurement specialists to ensure there is no halt in production. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in supply chain management as well as an APICS certification.


Operational Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough supplier evaluations to source all necessary products and input relevant data into P21 system.
  • Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely responses and address any outstanding queries.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers for products utilizing resources such as ILS, Boeing drawings, and US Government data, demonstrating an independent ability to source qualified suppliers.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive longterm proposals, including the creation of spreadsheets for onhand inventory, replacement costs, and investment exposure.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and diligently monitor delivery schedules to ensure adherence.
  • Validate that all orders placed with suppliers align with customer purchase order requirements and uphold the overriding quality standards set by HCP.
  • Verify that all procured products adhere to as many industry standards as possible to guarantee marketability.
  • Manage change orders, and cancellations, and negotiate scheduling issues with suppliers, ensuring smooth order processing.
  • Aid in the onboarding of new suppliers with accounting processes, offering guidance as needed.
  • Align efforts to execute all secondary work orders with suppliers, maintaining seamless integration within the HCP process.
  • Regularly review open backlog with suppliers and customer orders to ensure accurate recordkeeping, addressing any discrepancies such as shortages, cancellations, increases, or RMAs.
  • Independently initiate followups on delivery status with suppliers, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
  • Implement the procurement of "excess material" by meticulously documenting pricing, quantities, part numbers, and associated paperwork.
  • Oversee the adherence of supplier delivery promises against customer requirements and promise dates, promptly informing the sales team of any anticipated issues.
  • Provide innovative solutions for addressing potential or actual delays in product delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cleco production team to oversee the procurement of necessary materials for continuous production.
  • Collaborate with the Government Packaging and sales teams to secure packaging supplies for orders and maintain a constant inventory to prevent shortages

Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
