- Canyon Springs is in Cathedral City which is part of Riverside County. Cathedral City is 110 miles southeast of Los Angeles in the Coachella Valley. Recreation/cultural attractions include golf, tennis, desert preserves, parks, hiking, biking, museums, art galleries, and theater. Next door is wellknown city of Palm Springs. Although known as a winter resort area, increasing numbers are making the Coachella Valley their yearround home.
