    Description

    We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering firm as it broadens its presence in Portland. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in detailed and collaborative environments, offering their expertise in structural calculations and design across various materials.

    As a Structural Engineer, you will be integral to the technical delivery of engineering documents, working closely with architects and other disciplines. The role includes interfacing with local building authorities to facilitate the acquisition of building permits and expanding the firms project portfolio in the Portland area. There is a significant opportunity for professional growth, with potential advancement into management roles, supported by mentoring from experienced leaders.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required; Masters degree preferred.
    • Minimum four years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in projects similar to those handled by the firm.
    • PE license is preferred.
    • Proficiency in software such as RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, SAFE, ETABS, Bluebeam, Ram Structural Systems, and Enercalc.
    • Expertise in BIM tools, specifically REVIT Structural.
    • Excellent teamwork capabilities as well as the ability to work independently.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct detailed engineering design for various structural systems using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
    • Maintain direct communication with clients and building officials.
    • Participate in the creation of design development and construction documents.
    • Analyze and interpret data from 3D structural analysis models.
    • Update senior management on design decisions and progress towards achieving client objectives.
    • Aid in advancing the firms standards and technical expertise.
