    Description

    Job Title: IT Project Manager

    Location: Milan, IL (Onsite)

    Duration: 1 year contract

    Skills: Microsoft Office, Rally Backlog Management tool, AzureDevOps Backlog Management tool, Confluence

    Major duties include:

  • Participates in the project and program planning process of new products/services and/or major improvements to existing products/services.
  • Develops the plan and leads the project team in executing that plan.
  • Applies a solid foundation in project and program management and executing that plan.
  • Applies sophisticated project management discipline and experience.
  • Develops project plans by focusing on project definition, scope, business requirements, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality/reliability.
  • Uses sophisticated dependency management, risk management, communication strategies, etc. as part of managing the success of projects.
  • Ensures project quality by adhering to standards in development, testing and quality methodologies assuring integration with other systems.
  • Assists in coaching and developing teams on Agile best practices and methodologies.
  • Provides day-to-day work direction and assistance to a group of professional staff, primarily in the context of work needed against project plans.
  • Monitors ongoing project status and maintains communication with stakeholders and teams regarding the project status. The nature of projects requires significant communications outside the immediate project team.
  • Looks for process improvement and process definition opportunities and leads others in adhering to existing processes and contributing to their improvement.

    • Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office suite, Rally Backlog Management tool, AzureDevOps Backlog Management tool, Confluence
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
  • Understanding of activities, their sequence and measurement, and the ability to facilitate implementation of process and participate in process.
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Business process knowledge of assigned area(s) and/or function(s).
  • Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development.

    • Education:

  • Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree

    • Work experience:

  • Experience implementing major Information Technology programs or projects that are broad in scope or multi-unit/cross divisional.
  • Information technology experience and/or business experience.
  • Experience in Project management and business planning.
  • Project management experience including plan development, budget management, team management, requirements gathering, delivery and deployment.
