    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

    The Receptionist/Records Clerk performs a variety of duties consisting of greeting customers (both in person and by telephone), data entry and tracking, supporting staff consisting of meeting preparation and set up, and internal and external communications. Work requires the operation of personal computers, communications systems and other office equipment.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Great customers by phone and/or in person and answer questions or route to the appropriate resource

    Assist in tracking and record keeping both paper and electronic files

    Responsible general clerical duties

    Assist with client records and reporting

    Assist with meeting set up and tear down (Facilities and Catering Support)

    Assist in open meetings act record gathering and maintenance

    Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

    MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Associates degree preferred; high school diploma required

    Strong customer service skills and pleasant demeanor with customers both via phone and in person

    Proficient in Microsoft Office programsWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

    Strong written and oral communication skills

    Reliable and dependable

    Ability to work as part of a team

    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with management, co-workers, partners, and the general public.

    Knowledge of Workforce Center Operations and workforce development programs

    Kansas WORK Ready Certificate

    Bi-lingual

    The Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas Operates Workforce Centers in El Dorado, Wichita, and Wellington.
