Repair Shop Clerk - Chicago, United States - Locke Transportation Inc.
Description
Local Chicago trucking company is looking for a 1st shift repair shop clerk to assist with day to day responsibilities overseeing the back end of our repair shop.
Responsibilities:
- Answer all Incoming Calls with ability to communicate well over the phone with internal staff and Vendors.
- Post parts and Tech hours to software
- Provide support for all departments
- Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups, and requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
- Stock and post orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians
- Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
- Complete specialorder parts requests for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry
Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to two years related experience, and/or training, or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
- Solid problemsolving abilities
- Experience with truck or auto parts sales preferred

- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Proficient computer skills preferred
- Valid and current Driver's License with ability to maintain a good driving record
- Auto or Truck Parts Experience Required
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
