Description
Responsible for maintaining the patient registration process for the surgical operating rooms. Acts as a liaison between patients, families, visitors, physicians and nursing staff. Respects the patients right to privacy and maintains confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA guidelines. Registers the appropriate forms and scans into the medical record system as per department protocols.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Accurately enters and verifies patients' demographics and insurance information.
  • Ensures proper documents are scanned into media manager.
  • Guides patients in the filling of entry forms and general consent.
  • Liaison to patients and their families.
  • Prepares identification bracelets. and performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 0-3 years of experience in Patient Registration, Admissions or relevant area.

  • Epic Certification.

Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.
