SUPERVISION:
Reports to Vice President, Global Product Management & Development - Cases


SUMMARY:

The Global Product Manager (GPM) will be responsible for driving global market share growth with a dedicated focus on improving performance in the US retail market.

Key responsibilities include developing product strategies and launching new products globally with an emphasis on tailoring offerings to the unique needs of the US market.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and execute product strategies and roadmaps globally in line with market demands and organizational objectives.

Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to market exit, including product enhancements and end-of-life decisions, driving operational excellence and SKU productivity to deliver the best-optimized product portfolio.

Analyze global and local market data/trends, leveraging insights and the voice of the customer to deliver new products that resonate with consumers worldwide.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the product development process, ensuring speed to market and financial viability.
Collaborate with Regional Product Marketing Managers (RPMM) to develop cohesive product strategies that resonate on a global scale.

Work closely with the US team to tailor product offerings to meet the unique needs and demands of the US market, ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives.

Conduct ongoing market analysis and research to identify trends and opportunities, ensuring our product portfolio remains competitive and compelling. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and potential disruptive products.


GLOBAL COLLABORATION & BRAND STEWARDSHIP:

Foster strong collaboration with other Global Product Managers across different regions to ensure cohesive product management and strategic alignment.

Collaborate closely with Regional Product Marketing Managers (RPMM) to ensure the effective implementation of product strategies, development, and launch plans.

Work closely with our Global Sourcing Group (GSG) in Asia to facilitate a smooth and efficient product development process.
Champion the Targus brand, ensuring each product tells our story and delivers our promise on quality, sustainability, and innovation.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, design, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully growing market share.

Experience working with soft cases (e.g., backpack, briefcase, tote, etc.) and/or familiarity with big box US retail is a plus.

Passionate and energetic about delivering winning products and making a meaningful impact. Someone who has a drive to excel and continuously improve.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities to understand customer needs and position products for success.
Solid foundational understanding of product management practices and the ability to think and act quickly.
Effective collaborative skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong competency with Microsoft Suite, such as Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel.
