Description
Hello, I am having trouble connecting to the server in Azure Data Studio and DBeaver. I received errors indicating connection problems. I am using a MacBook. I used 'ping' in the terminal but received this: request timeout for icmp_seq. Is my computer not receiving responses from the IP?
I then used this code: /usr/local/bin/sqlcmd "sp_configure 'remote access'" with the server name, my username, and password, and received this response:
Sqlcmd: error: Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server: login timeout expired.
Sqlcmd: error: Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server: TCP provider: error code 0x2af9.
Sqlcmd: error: Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server: A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if the instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information, see SQL Server Books Online.
Does this mean that my computer does not have network connectivity to the SQL Server instance? I have tried using the server on another computer but it also does not work. I need help resolving this issue.
