About the Organization and Position

A wonderful, well-established non-profit in Santa Clara County is searching for a
Supervisor for their Refugee's Minor Program to provide services for the child and adolescents.

In this program, the Supervisor oversees a team of Social Workers and Case Managers who support the growth and development of youth in the Program, and empower youth in their overall social, educational, recreational, cultural, and psychological functioning.

This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team and requires a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, and collaborative work in planning for the needs of each individual youth.

Responsibilities

Oversee the welfare of children and youth in the program by working collaboratively with the child, resource parent(s), service providers, and RFC team members.
Work with the management team to provide consultation and direction on program development.
Collaborate with the Placement Team in the coordination of the reception and placement of a client.
Review referrals and make recommendations for client care based on staff capacity.
Make best interest determinations for clients in the program that are related to physical health, placement, mental health, education and housing.
Provide support services to approved resource parents and respite care providers.
Work with an interdisciplinary team (social workers, mental health clinicians, educators, doctors, legal representatives, etc.) to promote the best interest of clients.
Review and oversee social worker and case manager staff case work, including but not limited to, providing weekly 1:1 supervision.

Requirements:

A Master's Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology.
Knowledge of CA State child welfare services regulations.
Meets minimum requirements listed in Foster Family Agency. Interim Licensing Standards (version 6) Sec
LCSW or LMFT strongly preferred.
Experience working with unaccompanied children in federal custody.
Extensive crosscultural experience and ability to work well with diverse population.
Multilingual in a language commonly spoken by refugees and immigrants (Spanish, Arabic, French, Tigrinya, Amharic, Kiswahili, Hindi, Farsi, Dari, Rohingya).
Three years of fulltime social work or casework employment in the field of family or child welfare services; or two years of fulltime social work or casework employment in a licensed foster family or adoption agency.
A minimum of one year working with immigrants and/or refugee in a multicultural environment.

Pay:
$85, $90,000.00 per year
