Description

Frequent local travel to locations in San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Sacramento counties is required to attend hearings and conferences as the employer's representative and the LRA/AGPA/SSA must maintain a valid driver's license and defensive driving certificate.

Travel may require overnight stays for the above-mentioned including training and conferences.

Knowledge of the state's collective bargaining agreement process and provisions, collective bargaining agreements, formal grievance and disciplinary processes, AWOL process, Rejection on Probation process, non-punitive action process, State's Performance Management system, and collective bargaining agreement process and provisions is required which affect the Patton workforce, various personnel and employment laws, rules, and policies is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
