We are looking for a creative and motivated individual who is enthusiastic about leveraging their design and communication skills to support our mission and make a positive impact.


As Marketing Specialist for Pathway to Adventure Council, you will play a crucial role in designing promotional materials for our many Scouting programs that benefit the youth in our communities.

Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, you will collaborate with our dedicated staff and volunteers to develop and execute compelling marketing campaigns.

Additionally, you will have the exciting opportunity to assist in launching our rebranding campaign, helping to shape and refresh our organization's image.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Create engaging content and graphic media for various departments, with a strong emphasis on social media content creation.
  • Be able to craft engaging, highquality copy to support marketing initiatives and social media posts.
  • Design print and digital assets for council programs and events, including flyers, program books, postcards, largeformat signage, patches, stickers, merchandise, videos, social media graphics, and digital banners.
  • Work with leadership and project team leads to ensure adherence to the organization's brand standards and project expectations.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively throughout the design process.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
  • Use our project ticketing system to handle workload across all departmental needs, including website updates, print requests, new project requests, and video editing.
  • Manage and operate the inhouse print shop, including handling paper inventory and processing print requests.
  • Update and maintain the council website _(intermediate knowledge of web design is not required)._
  • Use and edit templates for video requests _(intermediate knowledge of video editing is not required)_

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your design work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to consistently produce a high volume of quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to commute within our service area if necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work onsite at our Chicago office, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am5:00 pm
  • Adhere to the business casual dress code

Pay:
$45, $50,000.00 per year
