Job Summary:
The Food Processing Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and overseeing machinery used in the production, processing, and packaging of food products.
This role ensures that machines are functioning correctly, efficiently, and safely to produce high-quality food products that meet the company's standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:
- Set up and start machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper working order.
- Operate food processing equipment such as mixers, blenders, grinders, slicers, and packaging machines.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure efficiency and detect any issues.
Quality Control:
- Inspect products for quality and conformity to company standards.
- Perform regular checks and document results to maintain product consistency.
- Report any discrepancies or defects to the supervisor.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
- Clean and sanitize machines and work areas according to health and safety guidelines.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance, and product output.
- Complete necessary documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking usage of raw materials and supplies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other machine operators, production staff, and quality control personnel.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth production flow.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing preferred.

Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate and understand complex machinery.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
Work Environment:
- Production floor setting with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and cold environment.
- Adherence to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards is required.

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

- Weekends as needed
Ability to Relocate:
- Portage, WI: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
