Vineyard & Grounds Worker
Full-time and Part-time Seasonal Positions available in Mount Joy, PA
Job Description:
Grandview Vineyard is seeking a full-time Vineyard & Grounds Worker to help with the vineyard and grounds maintenance at a beautiful, 5.5 acre vineyard, wedding venue and family friendly facility.
Bi-weekly pay, Hands-on training.
You will be expected to learn many aspects of viticulture operations, from planting to harvest and everything in between. You will need to be hard working, dependable and capable of multi-tasking.

Owner/General Manager
Requirements:
- A strong and proven work ethic
- Previous experience with mowers, weed eaters, basic lawn equipment
- Previous experience in farm, vineyard or orchard work is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work alone without constant supervision
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Working conditions in certain areas of the vineyard are cold, hot, wet, windy, slippery. Must be comfortable in inclement weather
- Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Frequent walking and bending is required. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the vineyard and grounds, including but not limited to:
- Cultivation, thinning, pruning, tying, suckering, canopy management, planting and replanting and harvesting
- Erosion control, trellis installation/maintenance, frost protection, vineyard installation, fence installation
- Operation of equipment such as tractors, tractor implements in order to accomplish various vineyard practices such as mowing, spraying, and hedging.
- Operation of mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers for maintenance of grounds and landscaping.
- Mulching, weeding and general maintenance of the wedding venue
- Operation of tow motor
- Follow safe operating procedures, maintain safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
- Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with other staff
Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
