- Establish the risk management framework and processes tailored to our company's unique needs and objectives.
- Manages all phases of the claims process from intake and investigation through litigation, settlement, and/or trial, and consults and/or participates in negotiations, conferences and mediations with adjusting companies, outside legal counsel, staff, claimants, and other involved parties.
- Manages the workers' compensation and incident reporting program and processes, assesses, and reports claims to carriers as appropriate.
- Investigates, resolves, and responds to all property and liability claims under the direction of the President, CFO and other Executives.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks effectively and minimize their impact on the organization.
- Implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and Executives on the company's risk profile, key risk exposures, and mitigation efforts.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments that may impact the company's risk profile.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization through training, communication, and engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CRM, ARM, PRM) is a plus.
- 5 years of proven experience in risk management roles, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and prioritize risks effectively.
- Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools is preferred.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
